WELCOME TO TANZANIA
We are about to embark on a journey that combines two completely different sides of Tanzania. The first part will take us through the savannahs, volcanic landscapes, and wildlife of northern Tanzania. We will visit Tarangire National Park, Central and Northern Serengeti, and the Ngorongoro Crater. We will be travelling in September, a period when the vast herds of the Great Migration are usually found in the Northern Serengeti and around the Mara River. Crossing the river is a natural event and cannot be guaranteed. However, our extended stay in the area significantly increases our chances of witnessing the great herds and the predators that follow them. After the safari, we will exchange Africa’s red dirt roads for the tropical waters of the Indian Ocean. We will fly to Mafia Island, where coral reefs, diving, marine life, and a peaceful island atmosphere await us. This will not be a standard holiday. We can expect early departures, long and dynamic days, dusty roads, connecting flights, and adventures in the wild. In return, we will experience some of the most spectacular places in East Africa.

Once all formalities have been completed, we will have an arranged transfer to Green Mountain Hotel in Arusha.
The day is set aside for rest and preparation for the beginning of the safari.
